Our Philosophy
Our goal is to create functional dog/owner relationships. We are expert at modifying the behavior of problem and aggressive dogs.
Then, we re-educate you, the owner, about the nature of dogs. We teach you to effectively foresee and prevent problems.
During the eight years in the Pleasanton, Dublin, and San Ramon area, we successfully modified problem behaviors and help establish new healthy dog/ owner relationships in hundreds of cases.
Our award winning owner training classes help you establish dominance with your pets, solve behavior problems, and teach you how to handle situations which you think are insurmountable.
We teach beginning through advanced classes in obedience, agility, nose work for dogs, dog tricks, and more serious competition classes, like conformation show ring work, and tracking. We also test dogs for canine good citizenship, give professional temperament testing, and are soon to be certified testers for therapy dogs with the Delta society.
Dog Behavior
Analysis
By observing dog and owner together and separately we are able to identify many problems, both behavioral and relational, which dog owners and handlers experience.
With aggressive dogs we are able to safely put the dog in a situation or situations which may key aggressive behavior so we can understand what underlies aggression and how best to change it.
With use of several short tests we are able to identify behavioral issues and can put together a curriculum to solve these issues or make other recommendations.
Correction
Correction of behavioral issues can take many forms, anything from simple counter conditioning, or confidence building, to training alternate behaviors and changing pack status. The work can often be done here at our facility but always involves the owner in follow up.
